However, she actually does not—she had lost the fight with the monster beneath her bed.Hence, here's a woman cradling the darkness in secret.One word that could describe Yeonhwa would be capricious. The law isn't her limit, yet she still has her very own moral compass. To see someone in despair won't always trigger empathy in her, if not, it's happiness when she sees someone in despair. How she loves to laugh at misfortune! But can she say the same thing to her cherished ones? Probably not, probably—it depends on what she wants to do at that moment.She strives to be the best and carries herself with pride. A pleasant person to discuss with, but not so-pleasant for friendly argument—she hates losing, and will try to win every argument that she encounters.

It was said that family is the most significant factor in determining how the child would be.Shin Yeonhwa was born and grew up in a family with storms and thunder. Her parents divorced when she was 5 years old, separating her from her father and sibling. As if the loss wasn't enough, Yeonhwa's mother remarried a man when she was 8 years old.To know that she must accept this stranger as her new family, she pondered in disagreement. Why should she be? She only had one father; her loving, sweet father, who didn't live under the same roof anymore. Why?But what could an 8-year-old do? They're supposed to be innocent, playing with their friends, crying over scraped knees and fallen cookies, getting cheered by the warm hug of their parents. Supposed to, how Yeonhwa despised the word because she didn't get what her friends had. She had scraped knees, eyes shook by fear. Run, run, running away from her stepfather's unpleasant touches. What could an 8 years old girl do?The answer is, a lot.Little Yeonhwa was tired, tired of asking for help and staying put when her body was touched even though she didn't like it. Father told me that this shouldn't be touched by anyone but mother!. Even her father will stop hugging her when she felt overwhelmed enough, why won't this monster stop? Hence she struggles, harder, by punching, kicking, squirming around, and finally grabbing a knife to stab the man on his shoulder.This monster is weak, she must show him so.To be stronger than a monster means you must be a monster, too, at least. Little Yeonhwa was deemed as the monster instead by her mother; why, you may ask. Because she did what was prohibited.But ain't what the monster did to her also prohibited?Shin Yeonhwa had learned that the world wasn't a fair place at the age of 8. So what do 8 years old can do?
They can grow, either healed from their scar or bring the scar until adulthood.

Yeonhwa had passed her adolescence in an estranged relationship with her mother. Let her mother do what she wanted to do, and she'll do the same. Hence she didn't care much about her divorce from the monster or her third marriage.At least, this new person respected her. His eyes didn't convey lust but were thick with vigilance. Perhaps he wanted to treat her like his daughter, but she didn't need it. Although there was one person who came along with that man, Park Sehyun, her new stepbrother, who shook her world—in a good way.Sehyun was sweet; when he lied, there was a frown of guilt on his face. When he smiled, he only wanted to give yet didn't expect anything back. He has everything that her biological sibling has: genuineness. However, he also gave Yeonhwa something that her sibling didn't: heart pumping faster, blood rushing, and the longingness for his lips—lack of words yet hold the most intriguing smile.Sehyun was sweet, too good to be true; fair for this unjust world so she wanted to stain him just a bit.Who knew that Yeonhwa also gave the same thing to Sehyun? Two teenagers, with their blood pumping in an affair, finally tasted each other's lips whenever their parents went out. The passionate rendezvous they shared, brought an unfamiliar bud growing in Yeonhwa's heart; after being unattached to her surroundings, she finally feel more alive.The seemingly perfect crime got shattered. Yeonhwa, half-naked, sat on Sehyun's lap as she hugged the lad, was unable to run when their parents unexpectedly cancel their holiday plans; they were caught red-handed. This made Yeonhwa's mother furious, once again. All of the things that happened afterward were rage, burning anger, and sadness from her mother; anything done in rage would never be good.

Time has passed, and Yeonhwa now living alone while making more frequent communication with her father. All was alright, all was peaceful. However, being already forged by the storm made her a stormbearer herself while putting on an amiable facade, hiding the disasters she made with her hands.After all, rules written in this world were made by humans. So much flaw, so much hypocrisy! So why doesn't she make her very own rules?

Yeonhwa wasn't mainly build as a fighter. When she kills, she'll always use sedatives and some tactics to make her target dropping their guards. But if she up for some different kind of fun, she won't hesitate to just stab.
